About the author

Denise E. Roberson Little Sistahs Wit Tudes My parents, John and Dorothy Smith are very creative people. That had a need desire to create has been passed on to their children. When I started 7thgrade, my mother said, “It is time for you to make your own clothes.” My passion for sewing was born out of necessity. Many years later, my mother asked me to attend a doll making class with her. I did and started making dolls. My mother has past on. I think she sits with me in my studio and laughs with me and sometimes at me. I am sure she has problems with the cats sleeping on my studio table. She did not like cats. Some of my dolls are whimsical, some say spiritual and some honor the strength and beauty of women.
