Steal My Story

Hello Spokane Writers!

We’re putting a bit of a change on Steel My Story for this month.  Instead of 1000 words we’ll be taking it down to 250 words for entries in the month of June.   Join RiverSpeak’s “Steal My Story,” a fiction writing chain where participants steal other people’s stories and make them uniquely their own.

Your story will go from local writer to local writer so that they can add to your story, while you’ll receive stories from other local writers to add 250 words. Maybe stories will have multiple endings; maybe RiverSpeak.net users will vote on which story progression is best; maybe this will be the funnest fiction chain Spokane has ever seen.

Final stories will be published on RiverSpeak.net, with credit given to ALL the writers. You don’t need to be exceptionally talented–just an earnest desire to hone your writing skills and challenge your creativity.

To learn this month’s theme, join Steal My Story, or submit your first 250 words, click here. Submissions are due by the 25th of each month. Happy writing!
